Day - 1 : Guwahati - Shillong
Our tour representative will welcome you at Guwahati Airport/Rly station. upon your arrival transfer to Shillong which is known as a ‘The Scotland of the East’ & the capital state of Meghalaya. Reaching Shillong after 3 hours journey (approximately), check in hotel, evening free , over night stay at Shillong.
Day - 2 : Shillong – Cherrapunjee - Shillong
Early in the morning after breakfast a day excuesion to Cherrapunjee, famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of two hours amid pine trees and mists reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic water falls and impressive limestone caves. At Cherrapunjee, visit Nohkalikai falls, being the world’s fourth tallest water fall, Mawsmai falls, Thangkharang Park and Mawsmai cave which is one of the 100 old limestone caves in Meghalaya. After lunch, we back to shillong.eveningfree,overnight at Shillong.
Day - 3 : Shillong - Kaziranga
After Breakfast visit Elephant falls and Shillong peak. Transfer to Kaziranga national Park (7 hours drive) to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the Great Indian One horned Rhinoceros. Other residents of the park include elephants, Indian Bison, four species of deer, tiger, leopard, capped langur, wild boar, hoolock gibbon, hornbill, ibis, cormorant, egret, heron, fishing eagle and a host of migratory birds including Pelicans. We check in at resort/ tourist lodges.
Day - 4 : Kaziranga
Early morning enjoy elephant safari inside the park, for one hour. Back to the resort for breakfast. After breakfast we take you deep inside the central range of the park in a jeep. Evening. free over night stay at kaziranga.
Day - 5 : Kaziranga - Bomdilla
Early morning we leave Kaziranga for Bomdilla. Enroute we visit Asia’s largest Orchidarium at Tipi where you can see over 7500 orchids from a collection of about 300 species. Some of them are very rare. Situated at an altitude of 8500 ft. Bomdilla offers wonderful panoramic views of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. There are beautiful apple orchards and Buddhist monasteries as well. Over night will be at Bomdilla.
Day - 6 : Bomdilla - Tawang
After breakfast drive to Tawang, enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft. and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the Invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Overnight in Tawang.
Day - 7 : Tawang
Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GOLDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sects in Asia. The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 350 years old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping. Overnight in Tawang.
Day - 8 : Tawang - Bhalukpong
Early in the morning we leave Tawang for Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong, on the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh is a place of enthralling scenic beauty. The sparkling river JiaBharali which passes through Bhalukpong is an adventure lover’s paradise. By the side of the river is the Nameri National Park which falls under Project Tiger. Overnight will be at Resort/ Tourist Lodge at Bhalukpong.
Day - 9 : Bhalukpong - Guwahati
We start the day with early morning trekking inside the Nameri National Park which is the home of the near extinct white Winged Wood-duck. Besides, the park abounds in elephants, leopards, sambar, barking deer, wild boar, gaur, wild dogs and a variety of birds including four species of hornbill. After breakfast transfer to Guwahati.
Day - 10 : Guwahati - Airport
After breakfast we proceed to the airport for your departure flight and here the tour comes to an end.
